feeling of isolation as the changes in their nature remove them
from what is considered "normal". The process of awakening often
occurs after the onset of puberty or later. For some it takes
years for the awakening process to come to completion. Other
Vampyres, sometimes through the exchange of blood, can activate

down their arms from where they have drawn blood from themselves.
This condition is similar to a new pathology, known as SMS, or
Self-Mutilation Syndrome, which is becoming alarmingly common in
American youths. Court: A gathering of Vampyres, usually arranged and hosted by respected members (elders, clan leaders, mentors, etc) of the Vampyre Community. Can be specific to cities or be open to Vampyres in an entire state, or even several states.

This usually occurs in the donors of psy vamps but can also be found among the donors of sangs as well. In general, some one with this condition experiences such a depletion of energy that they have to resort to vampyrism themself in order to replenish them. In addition to a need to feed, those with sympathetic vampyrism may show symptoms commonly associated with real vampyrism, such as heightened senses and sensitivity to sunlight. This condition may last for a few weeks, although sometimes it can be drawn out for months or years. The best course of action is for the Vampyre or Vampyres who feed from the person to stop completely. Without the constant depletion of resources, the person's system should gradually correct itself over time.

their lot. They are not to be confused with Real Vampyres, though
their deception can be rather skillful, so beware.
